Against the backdrop of its pop-cultural normalization, pornography is often hotly debated. At the same time, the phenomenon of hardcore pornography has been insufficiently tackled from a social-theoretical perspective. Instead of rehearsing fruitless moral debates, Sven Lewandowski poses the question of the relation of modern society with its pornography in a new way.
